The wedding gallery of Jovanna and Grabielle are up!
Jovanna & Grabielle were a wonderful couple to work with! Jovanna contacted me last fall after attending a friend’s wedding I had photographed- Jasmine & Jerry Castro. I knew we’d hit it off right away. Their laid back personalities and eagerness to go along with my creative intuition made for a smooth, fun filled day. I was glad they also brought plenty of their own ideas to the table as that made for some fabulous photography. I couldn’t get enough of the adorable moments such as her mom’s dog in his cute little tuxedo, the little girl at the reception who played bride, and the father and son playing peek-a-boo. On top of all the awesome moments, I got to take my husband with as my assistant (my favorite assistant!) and he noticed one of the guests was someone he knew back in his Brooklyn days. Its a small world! I am most honored to have been their wedding photographer.
It was a slightly chilly but gorgeous day- April 9th can go either way. Grabielle told me they chose their wedding date based on the warm April 9th of 2015. This is New England, though, and you just never can predict the weather and have to enjoy the day no matter what. So thats what we did! Despite the chill, their family and friends never complained about the outdoor pictures and we got them all in! Outdoor wedding pictures are definitely worth the momentary discomfort. They had their first look on a dock at my favorite park- Colt State Park in Bristol, Rhode Island, and married at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Tiverton, Rhode Island. The reception was at the always beautiful Independence Harbor in Assonet, Massachusetts. Stately rock walls and Narragansett Bay in the backdrop gave a special New England feel to this Rhode Island/ Massachusetts wedding!
