I began this body of work, “Doesn’t Remind Me”, as I was starting the process of recreating my personal narrative; a life once dominated by fear and doubt to one where I am able to live in the moment and have a positive outlook on my future. Throughout these images I am able to discover and define my real self, who I am when that dark veil of uncertainty has been lifted. Turns out, I am pretty fun! You also get a sense of my clumsy nature and instead of being overly frustrated with it, I am choosing to embrace this quality. It is my goal that the viewer will feel this same playful spirit ignite from within themselves and be moved to make their own personal narrative one they are proud of.
All images are printed in a traditional wet darkroom on silver gelatin fiber-based paper and selenium toned.
