Capture, Develop, Print, Repeat

The last year has been the best year of my life and my work is really showing it.  Every week I spend hours behind the camera, lately its been a large format 4×5 cadet.  Then, I spend hours in the dark room developing and printing.  I love it.  However, this means that I have been slacking with my digital stuff and one day my website will just be flooded with new work.

I have been working on a project of self portraits in black and white where I am balancing strange things on my feet.  This started as just a funny way to express some quirkiness and has very quickly turned into a healthy obsession.  So far, I’ve balanced an aloe plant, a swan, milk and cookies on a 60 year old cake platter and 2 full wine classes- while wearing black high heels.  Oh, and a dead sunflower in a vase.  I can’t wait to scan these and get them on my site!

Mostly, I just want to take your portrait.   I have a new project I’m working on-its top secret:)  I need a model for 10 weeks who is willing to act as a meter maid, a roller derby queen, a rag doll and the girl described in Cake’s ‘Short Skirt Long Jacket’…perhaps you see where this is going.  A project called My Playlist and I’m having a blast shopping for it!

I must go to bed, good night sleep tight and don’t let the bed bugs bite.
